INTRODUCTION
SHANGO-JA MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY has a unique origin story. Rooted in traditional Shotokan Karate, its founding members have developed a life long study and appreciation of the benefits of martial arts training. Please contact Shihan Donald George 8th Dan Shango-Ja USA for further information. He is the first student of Hanshi Francis Fuster who started Shango-Ja Martial Arts Academy in Sierra Leone. Please click here for his USA dojo details.

Our mission is to provide training opportunities for schools and communities as well as mutual support to all Shango-Ja dojos internationally. The Founding Karatekas have made their collective mark all over the globe in a wide field of endeavours. We now wish to bring our collective experience to illuminate training and learning perspectives that seek to support younger generations in attaining positive, healthy and sustainable lives.

This site is a legacy resource initiated and maintained by Sensei Patrice Naiambana in order to support Shango-Ja MMA initiatives and development.
